King's X
The Palace - October 27, 1998

King's X is made up of three excellent musicians that have definitely been around the Rock & Roll block. They have been together for ten years and this experience really shines through on stage. They made this performance of multiple musical styles look incredibly easy. Sy Tabor, guitarist for the band, moved from hot licks to slow ballads to psychadelic spaceiness effortlessly and effectively. The vocals were handled by basist, Doug Pinnick and he did a great job of playing to the crowd as well as harmonizing with his band mates on numerous songs. King's X cooked and made their very loyal following extremely happy. They had fans from all over with some coming in from as far away as Memphis to catch their show. Now that's loyalty.
