Karl on Touring

Karl - Oh, I'm really excited. I mean ever since school I've always wanted to be a working musician, and I've done studio stuff but, I found out after I heard about the tour that this is the real thing, in this three months so, I'm real excited and trying to get all my stuff together.

Karl on Getting Attention

Karl - Uh, I dig it. At first it was embarrassing, 'cause I'm kinda shy. So, a, I think the more we do it the more I can kinda make em' laugh a bit, 'cause I don't want them to cry. I've had to make em' do it. It's like, I don't know. I dig it though. And then when this guy introduces me , he always does something incredible, it's embarrassing, but you know.

Karl on Trying to stay sane while touring

Karl - Well, all the stuff on the outside, you know, outside of interviews and all that, usually like, we'll golf, we'll do all kinds of stuff, and I know Glen and I were friends long before I joined the band. So, yea, it's real fun, we always have a good time. It's just like going to summer camp, or something.

Karl on His musical upbringing

Karl - Um, well, I didn't really start playing music until my later part of high school, but, it was almost just like that, I mean, I just started playing and I had this really cool teacher who turned me on to jazz, and instantly I really dug it and I kinda knew that I would go on with it. I had no idea I was gonna be in a swing band, that was, you know, not part of the program, but I did know I wanted to play jazz, and I did know that I wanted to perform but, it doesn't mean I'll always do it.

Karl on His Clothing

Karl - Um, I get my stuff made, or it's actually a place named. . . . . huh, I can't remember the name, I go there all the time. Well, I go to this place called Bone Freid, that's where I get my suits made. Um, I'm tryin' to remember the other name of the place, but I can't think of it right now.

Karl on Attention from the girl fans

Karl - Uh, it's a good thing I don't get that, no, uh, I've always kinda been shy, I've always been the guy that like never thought anyone ever liked him anyway, so I just usually don't notice for the most part, unless something's like really blatant, really blatant, like if I don't notice and usually they do, I'm too embarrassed to do anything anyway.

Karl's Final Words

Karl - Uh, thanks for listening to us, and a, whatever.
