Scotty Morris on how BBVD got their name

Scotty - It came from a night out with Albert Collins, I went to go see a great blues legend, Albert Collins, and a it was such an incredible show that I pulled a poster off the wall and handed it over so he could sign it and he wrote 'to a big bad voodoo daddy, Scotty. Albert Collins.' And I thought, that's the coolest name, and it was a really cool night too, so I felt like that'd be a good name.


Scotty Morris on how he got into Swing music

Scotty - Probably just from as a kid playing the trumpet, and a, the music was playing in my house.

Scotty - You know what? I hate those guys more than anything in this world. When you see me smiling though, it's because I get paid too. No, it's exactly the opposite. We're all best friends and I love every guy in this band. They're like a brother to me. Except for Kurt. Kurt's my roommate, Kurt's my bud!

Scotty - I mean it's good, because we can do stuff like this, and actually get out and meet everybody. That's what we wanna do, you know, we just want to come out, and met people and hang out and like just spread this good vibe over everybody. You know, there's so much other stuff that goes down, and we just wanted to prove to everybody that we really do care about the people who come out, and we appreciate it.


Scotty Morris on signing autographs after their show

Scotty - Absolutely. We've always made it a rule to do that and even if we're not signing autographs we just want to go out and just talk to people, and you know, this is what we love to do. It's all part of this thing, for us. Just going' out and havin' a good time.


Scotty Morris's Final Thought

Scotty - We're really excited about going on tour, yea. We're really looking forward to it. But I just want you to know that I love each and every one of you. And I just wanna give you a big hug!
